Can I go alone? Solo women, single men and the door rules at UK clubs, checked
By Other Nights. Last checked .
By Other Nights. Last checked 2 September 2026.
Usually, yes. Solo women are admitted at almost every UK club in our index, usually free or up to £20. Single men can go to most clubs too, but on set nights, in capped numbers, at the highest per-person price, and sometimes only after vetting or an interview. Kink events vet conduct rather than gender. The rules per venue are below.
Search any version of this question ("can single men go to swingers clubs uk", "sex party alone woman london") and you mostly get anecdote. The most recently updated UK guide we found, published 25 August 2026 by Wanderlust Swingers, answers the single-men question with "depends on the venue and the night" and publishes no prices. On Mumsnet, the advice to a newcomer was to prefer couples-only events to avoid "creepy single guys hanging about". Neither tells you what a specific door will do. Below are the published rules, venue by venue, with the date we checked each one.
How door rules work
UK couples clubs (lifestyle venues) manage the mix in the room with four tools: which nights each group may attend, caps or ratios on numbers, gendered pricing, and membership or vetting. Every venue in this article uses at least one of them.
One rule repeats across venues: groups of single men do not get in. Townhouse puts it plainly: "We NEVER allow groups of 2 or more non member guys in on any night." Eureka Naturist Club in Kent says "Yes, all of our events are open to single males, however we do not allow groups of singles to attend our club." The Attic Experience may refuse groups of two or more single men, and at Quest in Leeds two single men may not attend together.
Two other things to check before you set out. Several of these venues are 21 and over: Le Boudoir, Purple Mamba, The Attic and Eureka all state it, while Quest's own pages conflict (its FAQ says 21 and over, its joining pages 18 and over). And several clubs require contact before a first visit. The No3 Club in Chorley: "For a first visit you MUST CALL THE CLUB for details, DO NOT JUST TURN UP!" CJ's at the Townhouse in Glasgow asks first-timers to contact the club and bring ID, and Chameleons in Darlaston tells callers to phone before a first visit.

Can single men get in?
At most clubs, yes, on the right night and usually through a process. Here is each venue's own wording where it publishes one.
Le Boudoir in London admits single men on Thursdays and Fridays only: "Thursday and Friday events will include the attendance of single males for those wishing to engage with additional male company. Saturday events are predominantly restricted to couples and singles ladies." Note "predominantly": exceptions exist but are not listed, so the Saturday answer varies by night. Its Halloween listings, for example, are marked "Couples, Females and limited single males". Everyone needs approval first: "You must have an APPROVED REGISTRATION at Le Boudoir before you attend any of the clubs events." Registration is online and free, approval is not guaranteed, and ID is checked at the front desk. One more rule matters here: you cannot register as a couple and turn up alone. "Within a couples' registrations, it is expected that both people are in consent of the application and that the female will always be present at physical events."
Townhouse runs the other common model: single men attend as non-members on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and earn membership by turning up and behaving. "Guys must attend as a non-member for a while so we can get to know them. If all goes well, we'll offer them a membership." The club is explicit about the criteria: "Gaining a membership has nothing to do with looks, it's all about attitude and respect." Tickets are pre-booked only, and a three-strike rule covers late cancellations and no-shows.
Purple Mamba in Nottingham accepts solo visitors of both genders but describes itself as "aimed primarily at couples". Solo men face an extra step: "We currently have a very limited number of single gent memberships available for 2026, so please ensure you've emailed us for an interview." The club recommends single-gent enquiries on Sunday evenings, and new members serve a 48-hour probationary period.
The Attic Experience in Derby lets single men in from 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays, with the caveat in its own listings: "(No entry till 8pm for single males and entry is not guaranteed)". It caps single-men numbers on those nights and applies an ad-hoc couples-to-single-men ratio at peak times, without publishing the figures. There is no way to book ahead: "There's no guest list to put your name on, nor can reservations be made, so entry is strictly first-come, first-served." Payment is cash only.
At some venues the door is invitation-based. Killing Kittens is members-only, men must be invited, and ID must match the ticket photo. Swindon Swingers' Wicked night caps singles of either gender at 10 and selects them at random: "Singles are invite only: Send us a message on Fab Swingers from the Sunday before a Wicked event; we will then add you to a list which we randomly select 10." At The Ecclesia in Glasgow, solo men are welcome in principle, but single male places can be restricted or sell out faster at particular events, and vetting may be required.
What single male entry costs
One pattern holds across the index: single men pay the highest per-person rate on every mixed night we list, and the gap is wide. Solo women pay nothing to £10 at several clubs, while single-male prices run £25 to £70 everywhere except Townhouse, where they start at £10 on Tuesdays. Beyond the table below, BMFC charges single men £45 against £5 for solo women, Route 69 in Weston-super-Mare charges £35 against £10, and PisSoir charges singles £70 against £50 per person for couples and poly groups. Swingers and Sinners in London, where single men pay £70 and solo women and mixed-sex couples go free, states the reason as a ratio target: "we strive to keep the male to female ratio under 3:1".
| Venue and night | Couples | Solo women | Single men |
|---|---|---|---|
| Townhouse, by night | Not stated | Not stated | Non-members: Mon daytime £15, Tue £10, Thu £25, Fri £40, Sat £45; members: Thu £20, Sat £40 |
| Purple Mamba, Venom | £40 | £20 | £35 |
| Purple Mamba, Sinsational | £45 | £20 prebook | £55 |
| The Attic, Halloween and Xmas parties | £20 | £15 | £35 |
| Eureka, Friday and Saturday nights | £20 arriving together | Free before 10pm, then £10 | £30 |
| Quest, party night | £30 members, £35 non-members | £10 members, £15 non-members | £30 members, £35 non-members |
| Swingers and Sinners, London | Free (mixed-sex couples) | Free | £70 early arrival, £55 late |
| Decadance, Rochdale | £15 (M/F) | Free | £25 |
| OurPlace4Fun, Frisky Fridays | £40 | £10 | £60 |
| OurPlace4Fun, The Butterfly Club | £20 | £5 | £40 |
| The No3 Club, Mixed Swing Night | £20 | £10 | £30 |
| Infusion, MILF Friday | £30 | £12 | £30 members, £40 guests |
All rows checked 2 September 2026. Where a venue publishes a separate price for cross-dressing guests (TVs), it is £20 at The Attic and £10 at Decadance. Eureka adds £15 for non-members: "Additional £15 on the normal entry prices for your temp membership. (Driving Licence or Passport)". Le Boudoir publishes no single-male price on the pages we checked, so this page states none.
Nights that do not admit single men
Across the index, the couples-and-solo-women format currently includes:
- Quest's M&N Party Night in Leeds: "Single males are not permitted, and two single males may not attend together"
- CJ's Saturday party in Glasgow, couples and single females only
- Ignite's Couples & Ladies ONLY Saturday in London
- Cupids' Couples & Single Females Only Night in Swinton, Greater Manchester
- OurPlace4Fun's Wild Thoughts in London: "No Single Gentlemen, No Throuples No Exceptions!"
- Infusion's Desire After Dark Saturday in Blackpool, solo women and couples only
- multiple Pleasures parties in Wateringbury, Kent
Chameleons in Darlaston is couples and solo women only after 7:30pm on Saturdays. The restriction runs in other directions too: Mondays at The Attic are a TVs and Admirers day when solo women are not admitted, and Le Boudoir runs an all-female party, Night of the Huntress.
Going alone as a woman
Every mixed night in the tables above admits solo women, at the lowest price in the room and often free: always free at Decadance in Rochdale per its own price note, free at Swingers and Sinners, free before 10pm at Eureka. The caveats are narrow. Swindon Swingers' Wicked night caps solo women at 10 and admits them by invitation, the same rule it applies to men. Killing Kittens requires membership. At Chameleons, arriving unannounced may not get you in: "If you just turn up to the club, entrance will depend on the ratio of couples (male/female) to Single Ladies at the time you attend."
Some nights publish arrangements for first-timers. Le Boudoir's KISS parties run Introductory Newbie Hours on Saturday 5 September and Saturday 3 October 2026, 9:30pm to 3am. Eureka says nervous first-timers can ask to be shown around and introduced to regulars. At Purple Mamba, on a first visit "you will be given a tour by staff and given advice on any equipment you wish to use".
Our sources hold one published first-person account: a student journalist went alone to Pinky Promise's Botanical Ballroom night in London on 2 May 2025 and recommends it. Greeters asked arrivals what they hoped for, and the organiser runs pre-party socials for meeting people before a main event. Current options are on the couples nights in London page.
Can I go to a kink event alone?
Yes, and the door logic differs from the couples clubs: kink nights gate on vetting and conduct rather than on gender balance. Klub Verboten, which runs club nights in London and Manchester, has no couples requirement in its published rules but checks everyone: "TAKE YOUR CHANCES: BUY A TICKET AND GET VETTED EACH TIME AT THE DOOR." A ticket alone does not entitle entry, and pre-approved members skip the door vetting. The Ecclesia in Glasgow says "People of all genders and across the gender spectrum are welcome, whether attending alone, as a couple or with partners", with advance booking and possible vetting. KinkFest in West Bromwich lists the question itself in its FAQ, "Is it all couples or can I come alone?", and answers that solo attendees "have a new group of friends by the end of the weekend".
One route in is a beginner-friendly pub meet-up (munch). Reading Munch states the format's rule: "No play occurs at a munch and it is not a 'singles' or 'pick-up' event", and its organisers offer meet-and-greet introductions for newcomers. See pub meet-ups (munches) and kink events in London for what is coming up.
What we could not verify
- HU9 Swingers Club in Hull: its site redirects to a page our tools cannot read, so we state nothing about its rules. The club publishes them on its own site.
- Le Boudoir's single-male entry price: not published on the pages we fetched, and our index holds no price, so this page states none.
- Townhouse's town: not stated on any organiser page we fetched, so we name none.
- Quest's minimum age: the club's own pages conflict, with the FAQ saying 21 and over and the joining pages 18 and over.
- The Attic's single-men cap and its couples-to-single-men ratio: the organiser states both exist without publishing figures.
- Whether Le Boudoir Saturdays ever admit single men: the organiser says "predominantly" restricted, so exceptions exist but are not listed. Treat it as varies by night.
Door rules change, and this page will age. The listings carry the current policy per night: start with London or the UK-wide couples nights (lifestyle) page.
